Dior: Designer of Dreams

So, as this amazing display of glamour and elegance comes to an end, I thought I'd reflect on the incredible display of talent that it shared.

I was lucky to make it to the show twice during it's run; the first time with family, the second with friends. It's difficult to describe the influence that something this fantastic has on you. When leaving I found I experienced two overwhelming feelings; incredible inspiration and joy, followed by 'how do you ever get that good'?!

From the toile room to the ballroom, the garden room to the fabulous displays of magazine covers, the entire spectacle was a designers dream, thereby making the title of the exhibition entirely appropriate.

My particular interest was the accessories that accompanied each beautiful creation, particularly those pieces adorning each models head. The Stephen Jones pieces were phenomenal, as to be expected!

It is always a joy to share experiences like this with friends and family so that, not only does the exhibition itself last in your memories, but it also creates memories to share with others.

Now that it is all over, the only remaining thing to do is consider.....how on earth do I use this inspiration to bring beautiful new creations to my little hat shop in Worcester.........pencils and sketch books at the ready!!!
